As time passes and things are used for a long period, they age together as the personality owner and become a one-of-a-kind gem. Minami is inspired by the leaves and rocks of Japan and how they change over the season and age over the years.
MINAMI started when our founder, Peta used the sewing needles to make his first Vegetable Tanned Wallet. We take immense pride in crafting exceptional leather good. Our dedication to quality and craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do. We wish to deliver the lifestyle of natural leather to you and make these object your favourite everyday items.
Vegetable Tanned Leather
We use full-grain leather tanned only with naturally derived vegetable tannins and pigments. This traditional tanning process yields leathers with a unique combination of attributes: suppleness unexpected of leather so durable, natural character unexpected of leather with such consistent color, and a matte surface unexpected of leather without a waxy crust.
In case for the “natural color” product, they will turn darker with usage and age and would yield incredible patina through the years.
Design & Workshop
MINAMI i is made for travel and everyday use. Each piece is designed by our team located in Osaka and Canada to deliver the most robust product design.Each piece is designed with long-term use in mind and assembled by craftsmen of the Minami team in Canton.
